July 4th weekend Snyder was offered the opportunity to drive the Wayne Stickney owned 99 car. Friday night Snyder traveled to Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run, MI. The car was decent in hot laps, and Derek shook off the rust of not being in a Sprint car in a year by qualifying 6th quick. Snyder started on the outside of the second row in the heat race, and made quick work of the front row, taking the lead on the first lap and never looking back, winning the heat race. After what seems like an eternity of not racing, Derek has been offered an opportunity to drive the Wayne Stickney owned orange 99 Sprint Car this weekend. Friday we'll be at Dixie Motor Speedway, and Saturday at Owosso Speedway.

Tonight was the season finale for the Extreme Indoor Kart Series. Things kicked off with the qualifier race being won by Wild Child Chassis house driver Gary Sherman. The final race went under way with the point’s battle being extremely close. Derek Snyder was leading Chris Hettinger by three points, and Jeff Vrsek only six points back. The drivers took off in the feature, and boy was it a rough race. The top six cars were in a constant battle, with the leader changing continuously for the first ten laps....more

The 2011 Extreme Indoor Kart Series kicked off last weekend with some of the finest short track racers in the state. This year the roster includes: Modified drivers-Kyle Feeney, Tom Hernly, Jeff Vrsek and Larry Wallace. A wild saturday at Berlin Raceway. Snyder Qualified 7th with a 13.255. In the Heat race Snyder was trying for 3rd position, ran out of room and went off the backstretch, he was able to make it back up to 7th, but had to run the B-main. Snyder led half of the B-main but finished 2nd to Jason Cox. After a decent start in the feature the night was ended with a crash with Jeff Bloom while pulling into the pits. The Vertech Motorsports team traveled to Dixie Speedway to try to take over the overall points lead with the Auto Value Super Sprints, and try to grab their first feature win of the season. The night started well when Snyder qualified Third to fast qualifier Jason Blonde and Second place Ryan Litt. In the heat race Snyder came from 6th position to finish a strong Third. The Vertech Motorsports team made the haul to Auto City Speedway to test their luck once again. After a couple year break from the track, it took some time for Snyder to get back up to speed. Snyder surprised everybody when he qualified 2nd with a 12.975 only one hundredth less than fast qualifier Ryan Litt. The Vertech Motorsports team traveled to the lightning fast 1/2 mile of Toledo Speedway Friday to test their luck again. In hot laps the car was hooked up and looked like it would be good later on in the night. Snyder found out just how good the car was when he shattered the track record of 12.74 with a blazing fast 12.656 an average of 142.225 MPH. Derek Snyder and the Vertech Motorsports team are getting prepared for Fridays race at the lightning fast Toledo Speedway. This will be the worlds fastest short track show, as we will be hosted with the ISMA Supermodifieds. Snyder has had some engine problems this year and hopes to end the string of bad luck this Friday. Racing starts at 7:30PM, this is one you don't want to miss!
